This month I was excited to participate in the 'Art Avenue' project with Wolford Built Homes! One of the spacious homes was temporarily used as a gallery in order to display many beautiful 3-D sculptures and paintings by local and regional artists in Kentucky. All of the artists benefited from collectors purchasing their work and a portion of the proceeds went towards Kosair Children's Hospital Foundation. During the week that Art Avenue ran, I was happy to sell a whimsical piece titled 'Rockin' Robin'. It is a cheerful, table-top sized sculpture showing a smiling robin playing a lemon-y yellow electric guitar. It was such a great opportunity to show some of my art for a good cause!
The International Guild of Miniature Artisans recently held an auction to raise funds for their continued work in bringing attention to miniature artwork of all kinds---art that includes hand-made silver, miniature animals, furniture, dolls, and so much more. My donation to the Guild's annual auction was Buckwheat, the tiny rabbit which you can see in the 'Harvest Series Collection', here in the Photo Gallery.
Buckwheat was sold to a collector and I am glad that he went to a good home!

It will be on outdoor display at Evergreen Rehabilitation in Louisville, KY. Winter Green was a commissioned work as part of the Gallopalooza project and was created for $1,500.
